Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Vietnam's Ministry of Agriculture and Environment is finalizing preparations for the official launch of a nationwide agricultural, forestry, and fishery product traceability system on July 1, 2026. Currently, the system's technical infrastructure, data interconnection, and pilot operation are all progressing smoothly, laying the foundation for improving production management transparency and meeting domestic and international market access requirements.

On June 22, Deputy Minister of Agriculture and Environment Hoang Trung chaired a special meeting in Hanoi to hear a report on the system's operational preparations. This is a crucial milestone before the system's official launch.

Nguyen Van Long, Director of the Science and Technology Department of the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment, explained that the system's preparations are proceeding simultaneously in three areas: system development, technical infrastructure, data interconnection, and pilot operation. At the institutional level, existing regulations have been reviewed, a traceability management notice has been drafted, a unified legal framework has been established, and the draft traceability law is under review. At the technical level, the traceability system built by Netacom was put into operation at the end of 2025 and is continuously being optimized. The Digital Transformation Bureau has completed IT infrastructure configuration and network security checks. At the data level, various professional institutions, local governments, and enterprises are sharing basic data such as planting area codes, packing plant information, and testing data. Most solution providers have completed test environment integration, and all are expected to be completed by June 30th.

To date, the system has entered over 18,000 product information entries, with 149 enterprises participating, covering 26 provinces and municipalities nationwide. Pilot projects in key industries have yielded significant results, particularly in the durian export industry, which has initially verified that the system can effectively achieve batch traceability for exports, improve supply chain transparency, and meet international market requirements. A Netacom representative stated that durian industry traceability now covers the entire production chain, with participating units largely operating independently, and some enterprises operating completely independently. The technology provider currently primarily undertakes remote monitoring responsibilities.

The key functional modules of the overall system have been largely completed. Most of the eight participating units have passed 14 to 15 of the 17 data standards. Platform integration is approximately 90% complete, and the remaining testing and optimization work is being accelerated. The next phase will focus on improving business processes and upgrading system functions. It is also recommended to launch an official service hotline and email address as soon as possible to provide support to enterprise users.

In his concluding remarks, Huang Zhong instructed all units to ensure the system's successful launch and official operation on July 1st. He directed the Digital Transformation Bureau to improve infrastructure, access control, and information security; and for specialized institutions to accelerate data standardization and synchronous updates, focusing on strengthening basic databases for planting areas, packaging plants, and agricultural and livestock farming.

Huang Zhong emphasized that data connection and sharing must adhere to the principle of **"one-time application, multiple uses"** to avoid redundant investment and improve utilization efficiency. The launch ceremony will select outstanding enterprises and local representatives to showcase their achievements, demonstrating best practices.

Furthermore, data connection and transmission standards have been officially released, laying the foundation for cross-platform interconnection. For other platforms such as CheckVN, the Ministry of Agriculture and Environment requires them to complete information security infrastructure development before they can officially launch. (End)
