  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Dai Longcheng, Deputy Secretary of the Putian Municipal Party Committee and Mayor of Putian, introduced in Fuzhou on the 7th that during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Putian's GDP exceeded 350 billion yuan, and per capita GDP surpassed 100,000 yuan.

  On the same day, the Fujian Provincial Party Committee Propaganda Department held the ninth press conference in a series themed "Striving for Excellence in China's Modernization Construction and Writing a New Chapter in the Construction of a New Fujian." Putian reported on the overall economic and social development during the 14th Five-Year Plan period, as well as the strategies and measures taken during the 15th Five-Year Plan period.

  During the 14th Five-Year Plan period, Putian's leading industries experienced rapid growth. Large enterprises such as Xuejin, Three Trees, and Sateri strengthened their foundations, while leading enterprises such as Huafeng, Jiatong, and Haian increased investment and expanded production. Industrial park operators such as Dehao, Wancun, and Liandong established themselves and gained momentum. A number of the world's and China's largest production bases showed new vitality, driving nearly 1 million business entities and exceeding 1,200 large-scale industrial enterprises.

  According to reports, Putian's industrial chain has been strengthened and its core industries improved, with the footwear and apparel industry's output value exceeding 100 billion yuan. Simultaneously, its industrial clusters have experienced rapid growth, earning Putian the titles of "China's Shoe Capital," "China's Famous Food Industry City," and "China's Beer Manufacturing City"—a series of new national-level accolades powerfully showcasing Putian's strength, charm, and vitality.

  In recent years, Putian's cultural and tourism economy has achieved remarkable results. The meeting revealed that Putian's comprehensive cultural and tourism development index ranks among the top in the province. The annual number of tourists received by Meizhou Island increased from 1.3285 million in 2021 to 3.2323 million in 2025, a 143% increase, setting a new historical record for annual tourist arrivals.

  Wang Yu, Deputy Director of the Putian Municipal Bureau of Industry and Information Technology, pointed out that during the 15th Five-Year Plan period, Putian focused on building a "New City of Craftsmanship and Intelligent Manufacturing," launching a new round of special actions for technological transformation, promoting the construction of more than 100 key technological transformation projects annually, deeply implementing a brand strategy, promoting intelligent transformation and digital transformation, strengthening the cultivation of high-quality enterprises, consolidating and upgrading traditional industries, cultivating and expanding emerging industries, and planning for breakthroughs in future industries, striving to create two 100-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters and three 50-billion-yuan-level industrial clusters.
