Two high-tech companies from Suzhou City, Jiangsu Province, won gold awards.
This competition was hosted by the Torch High Technology Industry Development Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, guided by the Liaoning Provincial Department of Science and Technology and the Liaoning Provincial Department of Industry and Information Technology, and jointly organized by the Shenyang Municipal Bureau of Science and Technology, the Shenyang High-tech Industrial Development Zone Management Committee, and the Northeast Center of the Torch Center of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology.
The event lasted three days. The competition and related matchmaking activities covered multiple strategic emerging industries, including electronic information, advanced manufacturing, and biomedicine. It not only selected a number of high-quality projects with leading technologies and great potential, but also introduced high-growth enterprises and core technologies to Liaoning through precise matchmaking, providing important support for the cultivation of emerging productive forces.
On December 16th, ten champion companies from the startup and growth groups from five national professional competitions competed in a final showdown. Through 8-minute roadshows and 7-minute Q&A sessions, judges comprehensively evaluated the companies based on multiple dimensions, including technological innovation, market potential, and team strength. Of the top 10 companies, five were from Jiangsu Province. Shanghai and Hangzhou each had two winning companies.
The gold medal winner, Suzhou Yuanxiang Microelectronics Technology Co., Ltd., is a leading international company specializing in advanced electronic optics. "Throughout our entrepreneurial journey, we face immense challenges every day, especially with the arrival of the AI revolution. How do we cope with future technological developments? Our company's founding principle is to fully utilize quantum physics to open the eyes to the microscopic world," said Tang Wenxin, Chairman of the company. "We gained a lot from this competition; 12 of the top 50 innovative startups will become our clients."
Guo Siqiang, co-founder of Shanghai Songying Technology Co., Ltd., a leading domestic physics AI simulation technology company, told reporters, "We are committed to building the world-class physics AI simulation system ORCA, providing customized solutions for fields such as robotics, low-altitude aircraft, and intelligent manufacturing. Winning the bronze medal is a huge encouragement for the company's future development."
The competition also included an innovation resource matchmaking event and a project capital matchmaking event. The competition's efficient model of "policy promotion + demand release + precise negotiation" effectively facilitated the achievement of technological cooperation intentions among enterprises, opening up cooperation channels for enterprises to develop in Liaoning.
According to Zhong Zhihong, Chief Engineer of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, since its inception in 2012, the competition has attracted over 380,000 enterprises and entrepreneurial teams, with over 230 enterprises going public and over 570 enterprises listing on the National Equities Exchange and Quotations (NEEQ). This year's competition attracted nearly 30,000 enterprises to register, with over 1,000 enterprises entering the national finals. After fierce competition, 400 enterprises won excellence awards, and 50 enterprises were selected as one of the top 50 in innovation and entrepreneurship.
It is particularly worth mentioning that this national finals were held in Shenyang High-tech Zone for the first time. This not only reflects a high degree of recognition of the industrial foundation and scientific and technological innovation ecosystem of the old industrial base in Northeast China, but also builds an important bridge for cross-regional innovation exchange. Shang Chao, Deputy Director of the Bureau of Small and Medium-sized Enterprises of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said that this year, the development momentum of small and medium-sized enterprises in Liaoning has accelerated, and the atmosphere of innovation and entrepreneurship has become increasingly strong. Shenyang High-tech Zone has also achieved remarkable results in attracting young talent to start businesses and promoting the specialized and innovative development of small and medium-sized enterprises. Yan Zhanfeng, a member of the Standing Committee of the Shenyang Municipal Party Committee and Secretary of the Hunnan District Party Committee, stated that Shenyang is fully committed to building a "core engine" for industrial upgrading. The city is resolutely consolidating and upgrading its traditional advantageous industries, such as automobiles and auto parts, and equipment manufacturing, revitalizing these traditional industries with "new intelligence." It is also cultivating and expanding strategic emerging industry clusters such as integrated circuits, aerospace, and biomedicine with unprecedented力度 (intensity/effort), and proactively planning for future industries such as embodied intelligence. This meticulously crafted industrial landscape intertwines the "reshaping of traditional industrial advantages" with the "rapid establishment of emerging industries." In terms of spatial capacity, Shenyang is leveraging major platforms such as the Hunnan Science and Technology City to construct multiple major science and technology infrastructure projects, building an innovation hub and economic growth pole integrating basic research, technological breakthroughs,成果转化 (achievement transformation), and industrial incubation.
