China Southern Airlines will increase the number of round-trip flights between Guangzhou and Sydney to four per day.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – China Southern Airlines announced on the 7th that its Guangzhou-Sydney route will increase to four round-trip flights daily for the first time from December 13, 2025 to February 24, 2026.

  The themed flight, specially planned by China Southern Airlines and Tourism New South Wales to celebrate the 25th anniversary of China Southern's direct flights to Sydney, departed from Guangzhou on the 6th. As an important air bridge connecting South China and New South Wales, Australia, this route plays a vital role in promoting Sino-Australian economic, trade, tourism, and cultural exchanges. Currently, the Guangzhou-Sydney route operates two flights daily during off-peak and peak seasons, and three flights daily during peak season.

  In 2024, the Guangzhou-Sydney route carried nearly 412,000 passengers, ranking first in passenger volume among all China-Australia routes.

  China Southern Airlines is committed to improving its route network in the Australian market. Currently, China Southern Airlines has launched several direct flights from Guangzhou to Sydney, Brisbane, Melbourne, Perth, and Adelaide, and on December 3rd, it launched a new direct flight from Guangzhou to Darwin, providing another convenient route for Chinese tourists to explore Australia's Northern Territory.
