Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – From November 25th to 27th, the 2025 Autumn Economic Forum was held in Ho Chi Minh City. Against the backdrop of digitalization and green transformation reshaping the global development landscape, participating experts and business representatives focused on issues such as energy efficiency improvement and emission reduction, offering advice for Vietnam's green transformation.

Pauline Tamesis, UN Resident Coordinator in Vietnam, proposed that digital technology and green transformation are the "twin engines" of development, and that renewable energy investment can help Vietnam achieve its clean energy goals and boost the economy. A UN report emphasized the importance of inclusive fiscal policies, calling for guaranteed investment in people's livelihoods to help vulnerable groups, and that in the long run, socio-economic benefits will alleviate fiscal pressure.

Long Guoqiang, Deputy Director of the Development Research Center of the State Council of China, stated that green transformation should become a driving force for high-quality economic development, and the government needs to break down market barriers to emerging green technologies through regulation. Shao Fangnan, Regional General Manager of Qualcomm, pointed out that digitalization is an inevitable path for enterprises' green transformation, and technologies such as 5G and edge AI can help reduce carbon emissions and improve efficiency. He also proposed three key elements for transformation: digital infrastructure, policy support, and incentive mechanisms, and mentioned that the shortage of multi-skilled talent is a major bottleneck.

Becamex Group Vice Chairman Nguyen The Duy revealed that the group is promoting a dual transformation through a comprehensive strategy, focusing on talent and building an industry-academia-research model through university-enterprise cooperation. This integration of technology, capital, and talent aims to attract high-tech supply chains and contribute to Vietnam's transformation goals. (End)
