Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the 30th, Beijing Tongzhou Station, located within the Beijing Municipal Administrative Center's integrated transportation hub, officially opened and began operation. This marks the formation and systematic operation of Beijing's "eight stations and two airports" integrated transportation hub structure, making Beijing the first city in China to possess eight Class A railway passenger stations and two large international airports.

A spokesperson for the Beijing Municipal Commission of Transport stated that Tongzhou Station is an important node in the "railway-based Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei" development strategy. Its opening further strengthens the regional transportation network and injects momentum into the implementation of the "one body, two wings" strategy for the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region. The China Railway Beijing Bureau explained that in the initial stage of operation, Tongzhou Station will handle the originating and terminating services of the Beijing-Tangshan and Beijing-Binhai intercity high-speed trains, with the fastest journey to stations such as Tangshan and Baodi taking 26 to 90 minutes. Initially, 42 originating and terminating trains will be arranged. The station's Beijing-Tangshan section has 7 arrival and departure tracks and 7 passenger platforms. Equipment acceptance, safety assessments, and personnel training were completed before the opening.

After its opening, the Tongzhou area will have multiple stations operating in parallel, including Tongzhou Station, Zhongcang Station, and Tongzhou West Station. Zhongcang Station will handle services for the suburban railway's City Sub-center Line, while Tongzhou West Station will handle services for the Tongmi Line and some regular-speed trains. This will improve the one-hour transportation circle of the Beijing-Tianjin-Hebei region and contribute to regional coordinated development.

To facilitate passenger travel, Beijing has constructed a comprehensive connection system: In terms of rail transit, initially, passengers can transfer to Metro Line 6, with moving walkways and signage in the transfer corridors. Later, Metro Line 22 and other lines will be connected. For surface public transportation, six routes have been optimized and three new routes have been opened, covering key areas such as the city center and Universal Resort. New new energy bus lines have been opened to the Capital Airport and Daxing Airport, operating from 8:00 to 19:30, supporting online and offline ticket purchases. Car rental services have also been launched within the hub.

Currently, multiple departments have established a joint monitoring and dispatch system, which will begin operation during the morning rush hour on the 30th. Subsequent efforts will focus on service guidance, capacity monitoring, and other aspects to ensure smooth operation. (End)
