Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Anhui Provincial Department of Justice recently issued a work plan, deciding to launch a "100-Day Campaign" for people's mediation across the province from mid-March to late June this year. The campaign aims to focus on identifying and resolving key areas and typical disputes, and to promptly eliminate potential risks.
The plan outlines three key tasks for the campaign, covering the construction of mediation organization networks, the mediator team, and the investigation and resolution of disputes. Regarding network construction, Anhui will achieve full coverage of people's mediation committees in all townships (streets) and villages (communities), promote the construction of people's mediation organizations in enterprises, economic and technological development zones, high-tech parks, and industrial clusters, and expand the coverage of chamber of commerce mediation organizations. Simultaneously, it will improve the linkage mechanism between people's mediation and grassroots courts, police stations, detention centers, and other departments, build diversified and distinctive dispute resolution platforms, and promote the introduction of disputes into people's mediation channels.
Regarding team building, it requires that industry-specific and professional mediation committees be equipped with at least three full-time mediators, township (street) mediation committees with at least two full-time mediators, and more than half of the village (community) mediation committees with at least one full-time mediator. Retired judges, prosecutors, police officers, and lawyers will be recruited to participate in mediation work to optimize the team structure. Training will be conducted through methods such as observing court hearings, case studies, and mock mediations to improve the professional skills of mediators.
Regarding the investigation and resolution of disputes, legal service resources will be leveraged to strengthen coordination and collaboration with administrative mediation, industry-specific professional mediation, and administrative adjudication to resolve complex and difficult disputes in a diversified manner. The focus will be on investigating and mediating common disputes such as those related to marriage and family, neighborhood disputes, and labor employment disputes. Assistance will be provided in resolving disputes in areas such as market supervision, agriculture and rural affairs, and financial matters involving the public. Disputes involving wage arrears, workers in new employment forms, and migrant workers will be resolved according to law. During the campaign, the goal is to achieve a 100% mediation rate, a mediation success rate of over 98%, and a mediation agreement fulfillment rate of over 96% across the province. (End)
