Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com), May 6th – Representatives of the Vietnam Military Industry and Telecommunications Group (Viettel) announced that at the 2026 Defence and Aerospace Exhibition (SAHA 2026) held in Istanbul, Turkey from May 5th to 9th, Viettel High Tech, a subsidiary of Viettel, showcased an ecosystem of 73 high-tech products covering eight core areas, demonstrating the robust development of Vietnam's defense industry to the world.

This marks the first time a Vietnamese company has participated in this exhibition, highlighting Viettel's technological accumulation and development potential in the defense industry, and providing an important platform for Vietnamese defense technology products to access international markets.

As a leading defense, aerospace, and space technology event in the Asia-Europe region, SAHA 2026 attracted over 1,700 exhibitors from 120 countries, including globally renowned defense groups, government and military departments, and leading R&D centers, bringing together cutting-edge technologies and resources in the industry.

During the opening ceremony of the exhibition, a high-level delegation from the Vietnamese Ministry of National Defense, led by Lieutenant General Nguyen Truong Thang, Member of the Central Committee of the Communist Party of Vietnam and Deputy Minister of National Defense, visited the Viettel booth to inspect the exhibited products and highly praised Viettel High-Tech Corporation's efforts and achievements in actively expanding into the international market and promoting Vietnam's defense technology.

During the exhibition, Viettel High-Tech Corporation also held talks with the Turkish Council for Scientific and Technological Research (TÜBİTAK) and representatives from core enterprises in the Turkish defense industry ecosystem, including SDT Space & Defense Technology, Transvaro, STM, and Roketsan. They engaged in in-depth exchanges on deepening technological cooperation and expanding cooperation areas, laying the foundation for future cross-border collaboration.

It is worth noting that this exhibition was not Viettel's first appearance at an international defense exhibition. Previously, Viettel High Technology has participated in several top international industry events, including the 2026 World Defence Show (WDS) in Saudi Arabia, the 2024 Asian Defence Show (DSA) in Malaysia, the 2023 MSPO in Poland, and the 2023 Thailand International Defence and Security Exhibition. This series of appearances demonstrates Viettel's firm commitment to high technology as the core of its strategic development and highlights its vision of proactively expanding international cooperation and deeply integrating into the global technology research and development and integration industry chain.
