This visit was an important activity during General Dong Jun's trip to Vietnam to attend the first meeting of the Vietnam-China "3+3" Strategic Dialogue Mechanism on Diplomacy, Defense, and Public Security and the 17th meeting of the Vietnam-China Bilateral Cooperation Steering Committee, adding practical content to the deepening exchanges between the two militaries.

  General Phan Van Giang, Member of the Politburo of the Communist Party of Vietnam, Deputy Secretary of the Central Military Commission, and Minister of National Defense, presided over the welcoming ceremony, warmly welcoming General Dong Jun and his delegation, fully demonstrating the high importance attached to this exchange.

  During the meeting, the defense ministers of both countries jointly listened to a report on the work of the 113th Army Special Forces Brigade, gaining a deeper understanding of the unit's glorious history, heroic struggles, and outstanding achievements. It is reported that this special forces unit, for its outstanding contributions, has been awarded the title of "Hero of the People's Armed Forces" three times and has also received numerous prestigious awards from the Party and the State, making it an elite force of the Vietnam People's Army.

  Subsequently, General Phan Van Giang, Lieutenant General Dong Quan, and members of the delegation went to the training ground to observe a meticulously choreographed demonstration of specialized special operations techniques by the 113th Army Special Forces Brigade. The officers and soldiers successfully completed all the demonstration tasks with superb skills, vividly illustrating the training principle of "distinctive, innovative, and tailored to the art of special operations tactics," leaving a deep and positive impression on the Chinese delegation.
