Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Hanoi Police Department announced on January 8 that its security investigation agency has initiated an investigation into Hoang Thi Hong Thai (born in 1980, registered residence in Qing Ha Metropolitan Area, Binh Minh Commune, Hanoi) and has placed her under temporary detention.
According to the police, the suspect, Hoang Thi Hong Thai, is a Facebook user and is under investigation for allegedly violating Article 117 of Vietnam's 2015 Criminal Code regarding "the production, storage, dissemination, and promotion of information, materials, and articles opposing the Socialist Republic of Vietnam." The investigation decision and temporary detention order have been approved by the Hanoi People's Procuratorate according to legal procedures.
