Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh issued Telegram No. 01/CĐ-TTg on January 1, 2026, instructing all ministries, sectors, and localities to exert full effort to ensure the timely completion of the "Quang Trung Campaign."
Previously, on December 30, 2025, Pham Minh Chinh had issued Telegram No. 246/CĐ-TTg, deploying efforts to accelerate the reconstruction and repair of homes damaged by recent natural disasters, storms, and floods in the central region, thus launching the "Quang Trung Campaign." To ensure the campaign's complete conclusion by January 15, 2026, and to create conditions for the people to live and work in peace before the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and to resume production and business operations and stabilize their livelihoods before the Lunar New Year of the Horse, the Prime Minister made clear demands in this urgent telegram.
The telegram explicitly states that the provincial/municipal party secretaries and chairpersons of the People's Committees in the eight provinces and cities of Quang Tri, Hue, Da Nang, Quang Ngai, Gia Lai, Dak Lak, Khanh Hoa, and Lam Dong must personally lead and guide the work, fully allocate all necessary resources and manpower, strictly implement the work requirements of "seizing every opportunity to eat, working overtime to catch up on progress," "three shifts and four rotations," "working overtime at night if not finishing during the day," and "no work stopping on holidays," and resolutely ensure the completion of the reconstruction of collapsed, damaged, and flood-swept houses by January 15, 2026, and take full responsibility to the Prime Minister for the progress of the campaign and the quality of the projects.
Regarding difficulties encountered during implementation, the telegram requires that if obstacles are encountered that exceed the scope of local authority and capacity, the chairpersons of the provincial/municipal People's Committees must immediately report to the Prime Minister, the Minister of National Defense, the Minister of Public Security, the Minister of Agriculture and Environment, the Minister of Finance, and the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front, no later than January 3, 2026. The report must clearly list the specific content, quantity, and location of the support required, and it is strictly forbidden to affect the progress of the campaign for any reason.
The Prime Minister also solemnly requested the Chairman of the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front to take the lead in guiding Fatherland Front organizations at all levels and mass organizations to strengthen propaganda and mobilization, guiding the people to carry forward the spirit of self-reliance and perseverance, proactively overcome difficulties, and fully devote themselves to the reconstruction of their homes and the restoration of production and business.
In addition, the Prime Minister also requested the Minister of National Defense and the Minister of Public Security to proactively mobilize all available resources to ensure that all regions achieve the goals of the "Quang Trung Campaign" on schedule. (End)
