Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of the 21st, Vietnamese Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh presided over a press conference at the Government Headquarters to announce the establishment of the Vietnam International Financial Center. At the conference, Prime Minister Pham Minh Chinh emphasized that the establishment of the International Financial Center marks a crucial stage in Vietnam's efforts to deepen the integration of financial technology and promote a green economic transformation.
He stated that the establishment of the International Financial Center is based on the actual needs of national development, leverages Vietnam's own potential and advantages, and serves the country's long-term vision of rapid and sustainable development.
Pham Minh Chinh stressed that Vietnam does not seek direct competition with existing regional and global financial centers, but rather leverages its own unique characteristics to build an open, collaborative, complementary, unified, efficient, and sustainable financial ecosystem through the implementation of special and unconventional institutional mechanisms.
The operation of the International Financial Center will drive comprehensive innovation in the scale, quality, and efficiency of the financial market, generating a wide-ranging ripple effect on socio-economic development. It will help enhance Vietnam's international standing, making it an important node in the global financial network; create a low-cost, large-scale capital raising channel to support strategic infrastructure construction; and provide support for Vietnamese enterprises to go global and align with advanced governance standards.
To ensure the efficient and stable operation of the international financial center, Pham Minh Chinh called for a complete shift in management thinking, moving from "administrative management" to "service empowerment"; and the establishment of a "one-stop, on-site expedited" problem-solving mechanism, allowing complex matters to be directly reported to the Prime Minister for coordination.
Pham Minh Chinh also encouraged Vietnamese enterprises to strengthen their self-confidence and self-reliance, challenge their own limits, and enhance unity and cooperation. (End)
