
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of December 19th at 9:00 AM, 234 key construction projects in Vietnam were simultaneously launched, completed, and put into operation ceremonies across 34 provinces and cities. This event served as a tribute to the 11th National Patriotic Emulation Congress and the 14th National Congress of the Communist Party of Vietnam, and also added significant meaning to the 79th anniversary of the National Anti-Japanese War Day (December 19, 1946 – December 19, 2025).
According to the Vietnamese Ministry of Construction, the 234 projects include 148 projects that commenced construction and 86 projects that were completed or put into operation. By implementing entity, there are 38 projects from ministries, 39 projects from groups and corporations, and 157 local projects, covering the country's major economic regions. The project's total investment exceeds 3400 trillion VND (equivalent to 918.9 billion RMB), of which 18% (approximately 62.7 trillion VND) is from the national budget, and the remainder (approximately 279 trillion VND) is from non-budgetary funds.

This centralized commencement and completion ceremony was held simultaneously at 79 locations nationwide, combining online and offline methods. The main venue was located at the groundbreaking ceremony of the Olympic Sports City project in Thieu Phuc Commune, Hanoi. There were 12 offline branch venues (distributed across 11 provinces and cities including Lao Cai, Bac Ninh, Quang Ninh, and Hue, as well as Hanoi), and 67 online branch venues, forming a nationwide联动 (jointly coordinated) event.

Hanoi Olympic Sports City (VND 92.5 trillion)
Lao Cai-Hanoi-Haiphong Railway Phase I (VND 3.3 trillion)
Red River Scenic Boulevard Axis Project (VND 85.5 trillion)
Da Nang Dung Quoc Economic Zone Railway Rail and Special Steel Production Project (VND 10 trillion)
Tan Phu-Bao Loc Expressway (VND 18 trillion)
Van Don High-End Integrated Tourism Service Area (VND 51 trillion)
Phu Quoc Special Administrative Region Metro Line 1 (VND 8.95 trillion)
Ho Chi Minh City Youth Cultural Palace (VND 2.24 trillion)
Key projects that were completed or opened to traffic include: North-South Expressway Eastern Line Can Tho-Hau Giang- The projects include the Ca Mau section, the Hue International General Hospital, and Phase I of the Long Thanh International Airport project (with a simultaneous inaugural flight opening ceremony).
Covering Multiple Sectors, Boosting Development and Upgrading
Vietnamese Minister of Construction Tran Hong Ha stated that as of December 19th, the total length of technically operational expressways nationwide reached 3,513 kilometers, and is expected to increase to 3,813 kilometers by the end of 2025.
The projects launched and completed in this concentrated period cover a wide range of sectors, including not only core transportation infrastructure but also industry, urban construction, technical facilities, and civil buildings, encompassing key areas of people's livelihood and development such as affordable housing, culture, education, agriculture, defense, sports, and healthcare.
The implementation and operation of these projects will inject strong momentum into Vietnam's development, not only improving regional connectivity, shortening travel time, and reducing logistics costs, but also broadening investment attraction channels, promoting regional coordinated development, and further improving the quality of life for the people and the country's economic competitiveness.
