Vietnam and Laos strengthen publicity cooperation on their special relationship.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – According to a report by the Vietnam News Agency correspondent in Laos, during the state visit of General Secretary of the Communist Party of Vietnam (CPV) To Lam and his wife, along with a high-level Vietnamese delegation, to Laos to attend the 50th anniversary celebrations of the Lao People's Democratic Republic, on the afternoon of December 1, 2025, Trinh Van Quyet, Secretary of the Secretariat of the CPV Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department, held working talks with Khamphanh Pheuyavong, Secretary of the Secretariat of the Lao People's Revolutionary Party Central Committee and Head of the Central Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department.

  At the working talks, Trinh Van Quyet briefed the meeting on Vietnam's recent socio-economic development and emphasized that the CPV Central Committee's Propaganda and Mass Mobilization Department has made positive progress through the application of digital transformation, innovation in propaganda methods, and strengthening of channels for disseminating authoritative information to cadres, party members, and the masses.

  Trinh Van Quyet pointed out that Vietnam has always attached great importance to and prioritized publicity efforts regarding the great friendship, special solidarity, and comprehensive cooperation between Vietnam and Laos. At the same time, Vietnam has guided news media, communication agencies, and propaganda systems to increase information dissemination efforts, enhancing the understanding of the strategic value of this exemplary relationship among cadres, party members, and the general public, especially the younger generation.

  Khampan Peyavong suggested that Vietnam continue to share its experience in publicizing the party and state's policies and principles to the people, and continue to assist Lao cadres in improving their public information management capabilities, thereby contributing to consolidating political and social stability and creating favorable conditions for achieving national development goals.

  Both sides also had in-depth discussions on theoretical and practical issues arising in their respective countries' processes of reform, development, and integration into the international community; they also clarified themes of common concern to both parties; and agreed to formulate a new cooperation plan after the national congresses of both parties, ensuring coverage of necessary areas and clarifying priorities, thereby continuously improving the quality of coordination and cooperation.

  In recent years, both sides have jointly carried out a number of outstanding publicity activities during major national holidays, widely promoting the tradition of special solidarity between Vietnam and Laos through various media and social media platforms, further deepening mutual understanding between the two peoples.
