The Southern Vietnam Sports Delegation Participates in the Send-off Ceremony for the 33rd Southeast Asian Games

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of November 21st, the Ho Chi Minh City Department of Culture and Sports, together with the Sports Department of the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism of Vietnam, jointly held a send-off ceremony for the Southern Vietnam sports delegation to participate in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games in Thailand at Le Loi Street, Saigon Ward, Ho Chi Minh City.

  Nguyen Hong Minh, Deputy Director of the Vietnam Sports Department, highly praised the initiative and professionalism of Ho Chi Minh City's training forces in the preparatory work. He emphasized that Ho Chi Minh City continues to send a large number of key athletes to key events, especially Olympic events. Nguyen Hong Minh believes that the Southern region will continue to play an active role and make important contributions to achieving the goal of maintaining Vietnam's leading position in the 33rd Southeast Asian Games.

  The 33rd Southeast Asian Games will feature 55 events in Bangkok, Chonburi Province, and Songkhla Province, with an expected participation of over 12,500 athletes from ASEAN countries. Southern Vietnam will send 59 coaches and 258 athletes to participate in 37 of the 45 events registered by the Vietnamese sports delegation, continuing to be a major force in the medal race.

  After the send-off ceremony, coaches and athletes will return to their training units to complete the final stage of preparations. (End)
