Quang Ngai province in Vietnam proactively responded to Typhoon No. 13 to minimize typhoon damage.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Typhoon No. 13 (international name "KALMAEGI" - Typhoon Hagupit) is expected to enter the East China Sea from November 6th to 7th, directly impacting central provinces with maximum sustained winds reaching Category 17. After making landfall, Typhoon No. 13 may cause severe damage to the coastal areas of Quang Ngai province. Currently, local governments and relevant departments are actively implementing early preventative measures to minimize losses.

  Since the morning of November 4th, officers and soldiers of the Sa Hoang Border Post have been on duty at Sa Hoang fishing port, checking vessels and guiding fishing boats, fishermen, and their valuables to the port for shelter and safe arrival ashore.

  Captain Phan Dai Duong, head of the Sa Hoang Border Post, stated that Typhoon No. 13 may affect the Quang Ngai sea area. Border guards have directly gone to the fishing port to assist fishermen in coping with the typhoon.

  Le Thanh Dong, head of the Sa Hoang border post, stated that as of now, his unit has urged 160 out of 340 fishing boats in the area to anchor and seek shelter in Sa Hoang fishing port.

  In addition, in preparation for Typhoon No. 13, coastal border guard forces and the government are actively informing the public about the typhoon's situation and urging vessels to return to safe havens before the typhoon hits.

  That morning, Senior Colonel Vu Van Ba, Deputy Chief of Staff of the 5th Military Region, led a working delegation to directly inspect the preparations for Typhoon No. 13 in Chu Mi village, Sa Hoang district, and instructed the Quang Ngai Provincial Military Command and relevant forces to prepare for the typhoon and ensure the absolute safety of people's lives and property.

  Associate Professor Mai Van Khiem, Director of the National Center for Hydro-Meteorological Forecasting, stated that KALMAEGI will enter the East Sea on November 5th and may continue to intensify. It is expected that by the afternoon of November 6th, the typhoon will move to the central sea area and, from the night of November 6th, may directly affect the coastal areas from Da Nang to Khanh Hoa.
