Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 4th "Cross-Strait Ties, Yunnan-Taiwan Cooperation" and Taiwan New Media Professionals' Trip to Lincang kicked off on the 13th in Lincang City, Yunnan Province. More than 30 Taiwanese self-media bloggers and media representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait will embark on a six-day journey to experience diverse ethnic cultures.

Lincang City is located on the southwestern border of Yunnan Province, named for its proximity to the Lancang River, and borders Myanmar. More than 20 ethnic groups live harmoniously here, boasting a rich and diverse ethnic culture. Lincang is also one of Yunnan's important tea-producing areas, with Bingdao tea and Xigui tea enjoying a high reputation both domestically and internationally.

This event was hosted by the Taiwan Affairs Office of the Yunnan Provincial People's Government. During the event, a multimedia reporting team comprised of Taiwanese online influencers, young Taiwanese social media bloggers, and media representatives from both sides of the Taiwan Strait will visit Shuangjiang County, Cangyuan County, and Gengma County in Lincang City, as well as Kunming City. They will experience a massive water-splashing festival, savor the unique "Wa King's Banquet," learn about Dai ethnic papermaking techniques, explore border ports to observe development, and sample local delicacies in Kunming's Taipei Street. Through their lenses, the team will vividly showcase Yunnan's rich and diverse ethnic culture, thriving industrial economy, and harmonious border landscape to audiences on both sides of the Strait.

On the first day of the event, the reporting team visited Shuangjiang Lahu, Wa, and Bulang Autonomous County, and toured Yunnan Shuangjiang Tianfu Tea Industry Co., Ltd., a Taiwanese-invested enterprise. This is currently the largest Pu'er tea processing enterprise in Lincang City, integrating ancient tea tree protection, scientific research and innovation, production and processing, and tea tourism. Taiwanese youth Ke Shunquan was deeply impressed, calling it a vivid example of cross-strait industrial cooperation.

"Almost all the self-media bloggers participating in the event came from Taiwan, including professional self-media personalities, well-known hosts, and film stylists," said Su Yunkai, head of the media exchange delegation and a Taiwanese self-media blogger. "We specially invited everyone to Gengma County to participate in the Water Splashing Festival. Many of the Taiwanese youths are here for the first time, and everyone is very much looking forward to experiencing the multi-ethnic customs and the grand Water Splashing Festival activities." (End)
