Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On December 28th, the 5th Brain Science Frontiers and Industry Conference and the 2025 Shenzhen Brain-Computer Interface Expo (hereinafter referred to as the "2025 Shenzhen Brain Expo") opened in Guangming Science City.
Rapid breakthroughs in key core technologies in the field of brain-computer interfaces will enable synergistic interaction between biological intelligence and machine intelligence, giving rise to a massive industry worth trillions of yuan. This conference aims to transcend traditional academic discussions and create an industry integration and innovation platform integrating "strategic release, paradigm leadership, capital docking, scenario verification, and talent incubation."
As a highlight of this year's Brain Expo, the "Guangdong-Hong Kong-Macao Greater Bay Area Brain Science and Central Nervous System Disease AI Innovation Alliance" was officially launched. This alliance is led by Luye Life Sciences Group and the Shenzhen Brain Science and Technology Industry Innovation Center, and jointly initiated by nearly 20 institutions from industry, academia, and research, including Peking University Sixth Hospital. This alliance aims to empower basic research, disease diagnosis, drug development, and clinical translation in the fields of brain science and central nervous system diseases. It focuses on three major industry directions: drug innovation for nervous system diseases, brain-computer interfaces, and AI-driven brain health and medicine, creating a full-chain innovation platform encompassing "basic research - technology development - industrial application" in the field of brain science and central nervous system diseases.
Simultaneously, a brain science industry fund with a total scale of 1.16 billion yuan and the first batch of high-quality projects to be invested in were signed on-site. With the strong support of Shenzhen's and Guangming Science City's brain industry policies, the "Shenzhen Zhongjin Brain Science and Brain-Inspired Intelligence Industry Private Equity Investment Fund" and the "Shenzhen Blue Ocean Brain Seed Fund" were both launched, constructing a science and technology financial support system covering early-stage "sowing" to growth "irrigation," bringing "super vitality" to the brain science and brain-computer interface industry, effectively leveraging the driving role of government investment, and stimulating private investment.
Under the scientific framework of the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Brain Science Innovation Institute, and as a highlight of this year's Brain Expo, Xinhu Subdistrict of Guangming District, together with the Shenzhen Brain Science Society, the Shenzhen-Hong Kong Brain Science Innovation Institute, and other leading institutions in Guangming Science City, jointly launched the construction of the "Demonstration Block for Innovative Governance of Cardiovascular and Brain Health." The construction of this demonstration block will facilitate a two-way approach of "technology finding new scenarios" and "scenario cultivating new technologies," vigorously developing new consumption formats, models, and scenarios. Its future comprehensive promotion will not only benefit the people but also create a nationally influential brain science industry cluster, contributing to the construction of Guangming Science City.
This year's Brain Expo yielded fruitful results, with multiple signing and establishment ceremonies taking place. Shenzhen University of Technology and the Shenzhen Brain Science Society signed a strategic cooperation agreement. The Shenzhen Brain Science Society's Brain-Computer Interface and Human-Machine Intelligence Branch and Research-Oriented Mental and Psychological Health Branch were established. Simultaneously, the "Health Light Research and Clinical Application Innovation Consortium" of the Shenzhen Institutes of Advanced Technology, Chinese Academy of Sciences, and Qilang Health Lighting Technology was signed and unveiled.
This conference systematically proposed a new paradigm for industrial development based on "multi-faceted interaction and integration," focusing on multiple thematic forums on "health-intelligence," "brain-computer interface-human-machine interaction," and "natural intelligence-embodied intelligence." The forums attracted over 600 experts, scholars, clinical authorities, entrepreneurs, and investors.
A brain-computer interface technology exhibition area showcased the latest achievements of nearly 50 companies from across the country. The conference also featured a special "AI and Brain-Computer Interface Future Star Vision Competition" to discover and cultivate future-oriented industrial talent.
