Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The 3rd Sichuan Opera Festival Performance and the 2026 Spring Festival Opera Gala were held in Chengdu on the evening of the 10th.

That evening, the Chengdu Dong'an Lake Grand Theatre resounded with the sounds of gongs and drums, and the melodies of opera filled the air. Over a hundred young and emerging Sichuan Opera actors sang "A Hundred Flowers in Full Bloom," opening the gala.

The program featured a diverse array of performances, including classic Sichuan Opera pieces such as "Dreaming Back to the Past," an excerpt from the 18th Wenhua Award-winning play "Dreaming Back to Dongpo," the children's Sichuan Opera "The World Is Good," a newly adapted Sichuan Opera martial arts piece "The White Snake's Love: Breaking the Zen Gate," the face-changing dance "The Mirror of Splendor," the original storytelling "New Voice," and the cross-genre opera song "Singing Together Across the Seas." These performances showcased the vibrant spirit of Sichuan Opera in the new era, demonstrating its enduring legacy and flourishing development.

The entire performance featured both veteran and emerging actors displaying their talents, with classic plays and newly created masterpieces blooming in a dazzling display, providing the audience with a truly immersive opera experience. At the event, five Special Contribution Awards, 28 Outstanding Play Awards, five Annual Talent Awards, and nine Organizational Work Awards were presented for this year's Sichuan Opera Festival.

It also implemented the "Master-Apprentice" young actor development program and hosted a series of events including a "Beijing Performance Week" and "Traveling Sichuan with Sichuan Opera," allowing the charm of Sichuan Opera and the beauty of Sichuan to reach a wider audience. The festival garnered over 40 million views online and offline.
