Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, Myanmar authorities arrested 43 foreign citizens illegally residing near Wamai Village, Kali Township, Kunxing County. The individuals are suspected of participating in illegal online gambling activities and were attempting to return to China at the time of their arrest.
It is reported that after receiving a report of individuals illegally entering the Salween River port, a joint Myanmar task force immediately launched a special search and successfully detained the group in the early morning. Preliminary investigations indicate that all 43 foreign citizens were illegally residing in Myanmar and had participated in illegal online gambling activities.
The Myanmar government stated that it will continue to coordinate with relevant agencies and neighboring countries to intensify its crackdown on online fraud, illegal gambling, and other criminal activities. The individuals involved will be dealt with according to law, and those who meet the criteria will be repatriated.
