
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – The General Department of Vietnam Customs announced on March 4 that customs officials at Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport recently seized 12.3 kilograms of suspected gold-like yellow metal from four passengers arriving in Vietnam from Taiwan.
At approximately 9:40 AM on March 3, customs officers at Terminal 2 of Hanoi's Noi Bai International Airport, through image scanning and professional inspection, discovered several suspicious signs on the four arriving passengers, who had failed to fulfill their customs declaration obligations. Customs officials at Noi Bai International Airport, in conjunction with relevant units, immediately inspected the passengers and all their luggage, ultimately discovering 31 pieces of suspected gold-like yellow metal, weighing approximately 12.3 kilograms, on the passengers.
Currently, the Hanoi Police Department is conducting further investigation into the case, and the seized items are undergoing gold appraisal to determine their value. The General Department of Vietnam Customs stated that it will provide updates based on the appraisal results. (End)
