Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, a resident cultural performance at the Colorful Guizhou Scenic Area (District) was staged in the core scenic area of Zhongshan District. This cultural feast, integrating ethnic song and dance, intangible cultural heritage skills, opera skits, and popular music, adhered to the concept of "using culture to shape tourism and tourism to highlight culture," deeply blending the natural beauty and cultural heritage of Zhongshan District, bringing an immersive cultural tourism experience to tourists and citizens.
The performance opened with a fashion show paired with the dance "Ten Thousand Waters Nourish a Thousand Mountains." The performers, dressed in colorful ethnic costumes, used their graceful dance moves to depict the natural beauty of Zhongshan District, described as "surrounded by mountains and water, imbued with spiritual energy," seemingly bringing the majesty of the Wumeng Mountains and the elegance of the Beipan River to the stage. Following this, the women's dance "Thoughts and Makeup" showcased the gentle beauty of traditional women through classical water sleeves and delicate movements. A series of captivating performances, including "Hand-Waving Dance," "Spring Blessings Always," and "Fanpai Wooden Drum Dance," took to the stage, their vibrant drumbeats and energetic dance steps allowing the audience to experience firsthand the unique charm of Guizhou's diverse ethnic cultures blending and coexisting.
"This is our first performance at a scenic area this year, and I'm very happy to share this joy with everyone," said Wang Xiao, a young dancer from the Provincial Flower Lantern Opera Troupe. Long Mei, a citizen visiting Fengchi Garden, happily expressed her hope for more such events in the future.
It is understood that this resident performance is an important part of the "2025 Colorful Guizhou Scenic Area (Street) Resident Cultural Performances" event. Organized by the Provincial Department of Culture and Tourism, this event aims to enrich the content of scenic area products through cultural performances and promote the transformation of cultural resources into tourism resources. Zhongshan District, as a key area for this performance, leverages its unique karst landforms and diverse ethnic cultural resources to deeply integrate the performance with scenic spots, allowing tourists to immerse themselves in the unique charm of "Liupanshui's Mountains and Rivers, Happy Zhongshan District" while enjoying an artistic feast. Chen Junsheng, a young singer from the Provincial Flower Lantern Opera Troupe, said, "This residency performance, through the 'arts + tourism' model, effectively revitalizes the cultural vitality of the scenic area, enriches the supply of cultural and tourism products, and plays a positive role in promoting the integrated development of local culture and tourism."
