Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Hue City, Vietnam, has set a tourism target of 7 to 7.5 million visitors and approximately VND 15 trillion in tourism revenue for 2026, representing a significant increase compared to the 6.3 million visitors and over VND 13 trillion in revenue achieved in 2025.
The Hue Ancient Capital Ruins are the city's core tourist attraction. On New Year's Day 2026, the Hue Ancient Capital Ruins Conservation Center sold over 8,700 tickets, generating nearly VND 1.5 billion in revenue; in 2025, the center's ticket revenue reached VND 473 billion (a record high), even after temporary closure due to heavy rains and flooding in late October and early November of that year. The Conservation Center aims to achieve VND 480 billion in ticket revenue in 2026.

During the four-day New Year's Day holiday in 2026, Hue is expected to receive approximately 85,000 visitors, including about 50,000 international tourists. Hue's tourism development centers on culture and heritage, adhering to the principles of "protection as the foundation, culture as the basis, people as the center, and sustainable development."
Huang Viet Trung, Director of the Hue Ancient Capital Relics Conservation Center, stated that the city is advancing its development as a "Heritage City – UNESCO Creative City," integrating heritage with contemporary life and creating a heritage ecosystem that connects heritage, creativity, community, businesses, and technology to achieve integrated development of protection with the city, tourism, and cultural industries.
Currently, Hue is promoting the digitization of its heritage by launching the Hue City Passport, opening up tourism data, implementing multilingual automated audio guides, and incorporating artificial intelligence applications to enhance the visitor experience. Going forward, the city will continue to improve digital platforms such as VisitHue, deepen the application of artificial intelligence, and promote the implementation of digital maps, multilingual audio guides, and virtual reality experiences at tourist attractions to increase visitor satisfaction, extend stays, and enhance tourism competitiveness.
Hue will continue to explore the value of its heritage and cultural tourism infrastructure, establish tourism as a pillar industry, promote its sustainable, safe, and friendly development, and enhance its competitiveness in domestic and international tourism markets. In 2026, Hue will hold a cultural festival (a year-round key cultural and tourism promotion activity) in a "four-season model," with the spring festival (the first three months) focusing on the revival of court etiquette and traditional folk festivals.
