Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the evening of December 6th, at the 2025 World Travel Awards ceremony held in Bahrain, Vietnam was once again named a “World’s Leading Heritage Destination.” This marks the sixth time Vietnam has received this honor, following its wins in 2019, 2020, and 2022-2024.

This award is a high recognition of Vietnam's efforts in protecting and disseminating the value of its cultural heritage and promoting sustainable tourism development. The deep integration of Vietnam's natural landscapes, cultural heritage, and local characteristics makes it a popular experiential destination for international tourists and will inspire various regions to continuously improve infrastructure and service quality, further consolidating the global tourism brand image of “Vietnam – Unlimited Charm.”

In this selection process, several Vietnamese tourist destinations simultaneously won major awards: Dong Xuen Plateau in Thanh Hoa province was named a "Global Leading Local Cultural Destination" for the first time, highlighting its unique value as a UNESCO Global Geopark and its highland ethnic culture; Mo Giang Plateau in Son La province, with its mild climate and pristine scenery, was selected as a "Global Leading Local Natural Destination" for the third time; the Three Islands in Phu Tho province was named a "Global Leading Tourist Town" for the fourth time, its charming scenery and French architecture receiving widespread recognition; and Ngoc Island in Phu Quoc won the title of "Global Leading Island Natural Destination" for the fourth consecutive year.

In addition to tourist attractions, many Vietnamese travel agencies, airlines, and tourism service companies also won global awards, demonstrating the coordinated development of the entire tourism industry chain in Vietnam and its enormous potential for further breakthroughs.

As one of the countries with the richest heritage resources in Asia, Vietnam currently boasts 9 World Natural and Cultural Heritage sites, 15 Intangible Cultural Heritage sites, and 10 UNESCO Documentary Heritage sites, along with numerous national-level cultural relics and monuments throughout the country, providing a solid foundation for its repeated international tourism accolades.
