Cambodia and China's Tibet Autonomous Region deepen tourism cooperation

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On November 27, Cambodian Minister of Tourism, Hua Ha, met with a delegation led by Jian Can, Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the People's Congress of the Tibet Autonomous Region, laying the foundation for deepening tourism cooperation during the 2025 China-Cambodia Tourism Year.

  Jian Can introduced Tibet's development and poverty alleviation achievements under the guidance of President Xi Jinping, mentioning that Tibet welcomes over 50 million tourists annually thanks to sustainable cultural and tourism protection measures. He shared innovative tourism experiences and invited Hua Ha to visit Tibet to promote Cambodian tourism. Hua Ha expressed his gratitude and requested assistance in promoting Cambodia's true development situation, proposing cooperation in areas such as opening direct flights, holding tourism business forums, and organizing investment delegations.

  Both sides agreed to promote the signing of a memorandum of understanding on tourism cooperation during Hua Ha's visit to Tibet in early 2026, thus upgrading the institutionalization of tourism cooperation between the two regions.
