Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) reports that Cambodia has successfully expanded its international tourism cooperation footprint, formally signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MOU) on tourism cooperation with Brazil. Brazil thus becomes the first South American country to reach this cooperation agreement with Cambodia.
This significant milestone occurred during the attendance of a high-level delegation from the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism at the 26th session of the United Nations Tourism Organization (UNWTO) General Assembly in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
Minister of Tourism Iaha Haman and Ana Carla Machado López, Vice Minister of Tourism of Brazil and Executive Secretary of UNWTO, jointly signed the MOU on behalf of their respective countries.

Through this MOU, Cambodia will be able to effectively achieve multiple strategic objectives: further explore and cultivate the huge potential of the Brazilian market (with a population of over 200 million); develop high-value-added tourism products and unique cultural heritage tourism projects tailored to the needs of the Brazilian market;
promote investment from Brazil and other South American regions in Cambodia's tourism infrastructure and related projects; and expand Cambodia's tourism potential and investment opportunities throughout South America to attract more tourists and investors from the region.
This cooperation not only strengthened the bilateral relationship between Cambodia and Brazil, but also injected new impetus into Cambodia's sustainable development and internationalization strategy for the tourism industry.
