A delegation led by Cambodian Minister of Tourism, Hua Ha, recently met with Stephanie Peacock, UK Secretary of State for Sports, Tourism, Civil Society and Youth, in London. The two sides explored new avenues for promoting cooperation in tourism potential.

The Cambodian Ministry of Tourism stated that the talks were forward-looking and fruitful. Both ministers expressed strong interest in further increasing tourist exchanges between the two countries and held in-depth discussions on important issues such as promoting cultural heritage protection, enhancing market awareness, and supporting tourism business cooperation.

During the talks, Minister Hua Ha extended a warm invitation to Minister Stephanie Peacock to visit Cambodia and experience firsthand the country's current peaceful and stable environment, robust tourism security measures, and rich and diverse tourism resources.

Angkor Wat, a UNESCO World Heritage Site, was specifically mentioned during the talks. In addition, both sides focused on the newly completed Druk Chon International Airport—a state-of-the-art airport designed by British architects and ranked ninth globally, considered a symbol of the long-standing friendship between Cambodia and the United Kingdom.

Minister Stephanie Peacock gladly accepted the invitation and agreed to visit Cambodia in the near future. This marks a positive and important step forward for both countries in strengthening cooperation and deepening tourism ties.
