Cambodia's Water Festival holiday saw over 2.36 million tourists visit the country over three days.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Cambodia's Ministry of Tourism released statistics on November 7th, showing that during the three-day Water Festival public holiday (November 4th-6th), the country received a total of 2,364,407 domestic and international tourists, including 2,320,199 domestic tourists and 44,208 international tourists.

  The statistics also revealed the five most popular tourist destinations in the country: Siem Reap Province (368,246 visitors), Sihanoukville Province (321,076 visitors), Phnom Penh (302,659 visitors), Kampot Province (195,691 visitors), and Pailin Province (189,218 visitors).

  Furthermore, according to different tourism regions, data shows that cultural tourism areas (including Siem Reap, Preah Vihear, Oddar Meanchey, and Kampong Thom provinces) received 385,169 visitors; coastal tourism areas (including Sihanoukville, Kampot, Kep, and Koh Kong provinces) received 750,746 visitors; and ecotourism areas (including Kratie, Mondulkiri, Ratanakiri, and Stung Treng provinces) received 127,845 visitors.

  The strong performance of tourism data during the Water Festival holiday not only highlights the vitality of Cambodia's tourism industry but also reflects the public's enthusiasm for domestic tourism during major holidays, injecting confidence into the continued recovery of Cambodia's tourism industry.
