Old Town Province Sapa is accelerating efforts to attract year-end holiday tourists.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Thanks to its unique climate conditions, including low temperatures, fog, and snow, Sapa in Lao Cai province has become a distinctive tourism brand, a significant driver of tourism consumption and the growth of local "smokeless industries."

  The Travel, a renowned Canadian travel website, describes Sapa – Vietnam's "Fog City" – as an ideal winter travel destination, listing it among "Asia's Best Snow Destinations." Therefore, for many tourists, Sapa is undoubtedly a must-see option when choosing Vietnam's most beautiful winter travel destination.

  Since the end of October, Sapa has been filled with a festive atmosphere welcoming the year-end tourist season. Local accommodations and tourist attractions have donned Christmas and New Year's themes, launching various promotions and colorful activities. Three- to five-star hotels and resorts have also introduced special offers.

  In addition, the "Winter Culture Festival" will present a series of exciting and unique cultural and artistic events. These include the art performances "Sacred" and "Dance Under the Moon," to be held from November 7th to 15th, 2025, showcasing the mysterious and romantic beauty of Sapa.

  Another highlight is the mountain bike cross-country race to be held from December 13th to 14th. This attractive adventure sport is not only a test of physical strength and courage, but also a journey to experience local culture and explore Sapa's magnificent nature.

  Furthermore, a series of exciting events will follow, such as the "Sapa Snow Festival," the Sapa Food Challenge, the 2026 New Year's Eve Countdown Art Gala, welcoming the first tourists of 2026, and the opening ceremony of the "2026 Sapa Essence Space," adding a festive atmosphere and colorful experiences to Sapa in winter, providing tourists with an unforgettable winter trip.

  Pham Tien Yong, Vice Chairman of the Sapa Ward People's Committee, stated that the "Winter Culture Festival" is an annual event aimed at promoting the beauty of Sapa's scenery, ethnic culture, and humanistic spirit, and helping to promote the image of "Sapa – a safe, friendly, and vibrant destination." This year's theme is "Sapa – A Winter Dance in Cultural Heritage," aiming to further promote Sapa tourism, revitalize the off-season market, and contribute to the goal of making tourism a pillar industry of the local economy through a series of activities.

  As of the first ten months of 2025, Lao Cai province received approximately 9.4 million tourists, achieving 91.6% of the annual target; total tourism revenue reached approximately VND 38.878 trillion, achieving 83.69% of the target. With its rich and diverse tourism products, the Sapa National Tourist Area is expected to offer tourists more unique and unforgettable experiences during the year-end festival season, contributing to the province's goal of receiving over 10 million tourists annually.
