He emphasized that Cambodia remains a safe, peaceful, and highly hospitable tourist destination, and every tourist will be warmly welcomed, trusted, and respected.
Minister Hua Ha pointed out that the Cambodian government has taken strict and timely measures to curb all forms of online fraud and to fully safeguard social order and the interests of tourists.
He stressed that the seventh Cambodian government, led by Prime Minister Hun Manet, continues to pay close attention to the issue of online fraud and acknowledges the concerns raised by the public and the media.
Minister Hua Ha also pointed out that it is necessary to clearly explain to the international community that these online fraud cases are isolated incidents. He explained that most of these illegal activities are perpetrated by foreign networks or groups that have illegally entered Cambodia and are hiding there.
He clearly stated that such misconduct does not reflect the true character of the Cambodian people or the true spirit of the Cambodian nation.
Minister Hua Ha reiterated that under Prime Minister Hun Manet's firm leadership, the Royal Government has taken action to curb all online fraud and criminal activities that could endanger the safety of citizens and tourists in Cambodia.
He revealed that relevant ministries and agencies, particularly the Ministry of Interior and various law enforcement agencies, have been and will continue to take active measures to crack down on illegal activities, especially various forms of transnational criminal networks, and continue to arrest and deport offenders.
He concluded by saying that Cambodia will continue to maintain safety and peace and welcome tourists from all over the world as a destination full of warmth and respect.
