Vietnam has 267 investment projects under construction in Laos, with a total registered capital exceeding US$6.2 billion, covering key sectors such as energy and agriculture. In the future, both sides will focus on deepening integration in areas such as the digital economy and green development.
Cooperation in the fields of education and culture has also yielded significant results. In 2025, Vietnam provided more than 1,160 scholarships to Laos, a record high. Cooperation in areas such as talent training and cultural exchanges has become an important bridge for maintaining the friendship between the two countries.
Given the current complex global and regional situation, Vietnam and Laos continue to deepen their strategic cooperation, developing synergistically in areas such as cross-border infrastructure, energy, and tourism, and working closely together within multilateral frameworks such as ASEAN.
