
Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A delegation from the Finance and Banking University of Hanoi (FBU) of Vietnam visited Laos from July 15th to 18th, holding a series of cooperation talks with the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports and the National University of Laos to discuss cooperation in higher education.
The delegation, led by Associate Professor Bui Xuan Bien, Chairman of the FBU University Council, proposed several cooperation initiatives, including: conducting student and faculty exchange programs, promoting joint talent training programs, implementing a credit recognition mechanism, establishing a special scholarship for Lao students, and building a regional university cooperation network.
FBU particularly emphasized strengthening its efforts in cultivating Lao students and plans to make long-term investments in educational infrastructure in Laos. The university highlighted its strengths in economics and finance, and information technology, boasting a graduate employment rate of over 92%, fully demonstrating the close integration of its educational characteristics with market demands.
Representatives from the Lao Ministry of Education and Sports and the National University of Laos highly appreciated the Vietnamese proposals and expressed their commitment to actively promoting the implementation of subsequent cooperation matters.
During their visit, the FBU delegation will also travel to Luang Prabang to engage in in-depth exchanges with the Lao Ministry of Finance and Souphanouvong University, focusing on promoting practical cooperation in areas such as talent cultivation, scientific research collaboration, and high-end human resource development.
