  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On August 15, the Lao Ministry of Information, Culture and Tourism launched an electronic tourism business license issuance project to improve the transparency and efficiency of the country's public service system.

  Dalani Phommavongsa, Deputy Minister of Information, Culture and Tourism, stated that the electronic tourism business license issuance project, along with plans to amend laws and implement detailed rules, aims to continuously optimize mechanisms and create favorable conditions for attracting investment in the tourism industry. Deputy Minister Phommavongsa pointed out that the launch of the electronic tourism business license issuance system will help attract investment, promote the development of the service and tourism industries, stimulate domestic production activities, promote exports, create employment opportunities, and contribute to promoting green and sustainable social and economic development.

  With its advantages in geographical location, natural resources, and environment, Laos has development potential in energy, agriculture, tourism, and transportation. These advantages can bring economic benefits and improve national competitiveness. Therefore, the Lao government believes it is necessary to apply digital technology to both the state-owned and private sectors to promote the development of the digital economy and ultimately achieve comprehensive development goals.
