Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) On the morning of July 14th local time, the Chinese medical team participating in the China-Laos "Friendship Shield-2024" joint exercise provided free medical services to local residents at the Lao People's Army Kumadan Academy, together with Lao medical personnel.
Based on prior coordination with the Lao side, the Chinese participating troops fully considered the needs of the local people and assembled more than 20 medical experts from nine departments, including internal medicine, surgery, traditional Chinese medicine, orthopedics, and dentistry, to treat over 300 local military personnel and civilians. The medical expert team patiently and meticulously understood each patient's condition, providing professional diagnostic opinions, prescriptions, on-site treatment, and health guidance, and enthusiastically helping patients.
"How old are you?" "Does your neck hurt when you wake up this morning?" Chinese medical team member Yang Yan treated local patient Mai Xi. After questioning and diagnosing, Yang Yan prescribed medication, and on-site staff then guided the patient to collect the medicine. "I came here very early today, and I feel very happy to receive treatment," Mai Xi said.
The Chinese troops participating in the exercise also donated some medicines to their Lao counterparts. Medical teams from both sides exchanged views and discussed traditional Chinese medicine techniques and methods for disease prevention and control, further deepening cooperation and mutual trust.
During the joint exercise, the Chinese medical team provided medical services to the participating officers and soldiers from both China and Laos through a combination of on-site support and mobile clinics, providing solid support for the successful completion of the joint exercise. (End)
