  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) July 8th – Lao Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Peace and Security, Lieutenant General Vilay Lakhamphong, welcomed Ambassador Fang Hong, the Chinese Ambassador to the New Lao People's Democratic Republic, on her visit.

  On this occasion, General Lakhamphong welcomed and congratulated Ms. Fang Hong on her appointment as the new Chinese Ambassador to Laos, acknowledging that this reflects the trust of the Chinese Party, government, and people in fulfilling China's diplomatic responsibilities in Laos. He emphasized the need to continue strengthening Lao-China and China-Laos friendly relations. At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Peace and Security expressed deep appreciation and gratitude to the Party, government, and people of the People's Republic of China for the valuable assistance provided to the Lao People's Democratic Republic from the past to the present. He particularly thanked Fang Hong for the warm reception from the peacekeeping forces and stated that he would continue to advance the friendly relations and comprehensive strategic partnership between Laos and Laos during Laos' 2024 ASEAN chairmanship, ensuring that the future of Laos will be brighter with the growing strength of the China-Laos relationship.
