Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On October 10th, a ceremony for the purchase of beef cattle from farmers in Nampha Village was successfully held at the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone in Laos, marking another achievement for the "Company + Farmer" beef cattle breeding poverty alleviation project.

To help Lao farmers escape poverty and achieve prosperity, the Golden Triangle Group Agricultural Company partnered with the Bokeo Provincial Government to establish the "Company + Farmer" beef cattle breeding poverty alleviation project.

The company provides beef cattle free of charge to villagers who voluntarily participate, along with comprehensive technical support and breeding guidance. Villagers are responsible for breeding and fattening the cattle. Once the cattle reach a suitable slaughter weight, the company purchases them back at market price. The company also sets a guaranteed purchase price to fully protect the interests of farmers.

At this purchase ceremony, the company purchased 17 beef cattle from farmers in Nampha Village at a market price of approximately 70,000 kip per kilogram, with a total weight of 3,940 kilograms. Currently, Nampha Village still raises 98 head of beef cattle, and this number is expected to increase by approximately 30% next year.

The "company + farmer" model is an effective exploration and practice of "livestock substitution for poverty alleviation and rural revitalization" in the Golden Triangle Special Economic Zone. It is also a vivid reflection of the Golden Triangle Group's active fulfillment of its social responsibility and its contribution to rural revitalization in Laos. In the future, the Golden Triangle Group will continue to deepen its cooperation with the Lao government to jointly promote the widespread application of this model and bring benefits to more farmers.
