Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Bangkok, March 30, 2026 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT), in conjunction with partners in the public and private transportation sectors, officially launched the “Tiew Thua Thai, Un Jai Thuk Sen Tang” (Safe Travel in Thailand) program. This program comprehensively enhances the safety standards of travel within Thailand by introducing an internationally recognized certification system and simultaneously launches the “Trusted Certified” label to guarantee service quality for travelers during the upcoming Songkran Festival (Water Festival).

The initiative was jointly announced by Nithit Sipura, Deputy Director of Marketing and Communications at the Tourism Authority of Thailand; Thanapon Sararam, Head of Passenger Development and Promotion Division of the Department of Land Transport; and Nachanon Manprasat, B2B Business Director of Siam Michelin Ltd. Executives from Sombatt Tourism Ltd., Nakhonchai Airlines Ltd., and Rot Rungruang Ltd. attended the launch event.

Nithit Sipura stated that this initiative marks a significant step forward for Thailand in building a tourism safety certification system that meets international standards. The "Trustworthy Certification" mark aims to enhance tourists' confidence throughout their travels, while simultaneously building a high-quality transportation network connecting second- and third-tier tourist destinations, thus contributing to the sustainable development of the tourism industry. The Tourism Authority of Thailand will continue to leverage the "Trustworthy Thailand" platform, collaborating with partners across various sectors to focus on improving travel safety, service quality, and emergency response capabilities.

Thanapong Salalam pointed out that this multi-party collaboration will create a more integrated tourism ecosystem, based on unified quality standards, providing travelers with a more convenient, comfortable, and safe travel experience, and continuously enhancing public trust in Thailand's transportation system. Nachanon Manprasat added that Michelin, adhering to the "All-Round Performance" philosophy, continuously upgrades its bus tire technology and safety standards, balancing product safety, durability, and fuel efficiency; and participates in route development through the "Promoting Hidden Treasures" program, improving the transportation network layout of emerging tourist destinations nationwide.

Sombat Tourism, Nakhonchai Airlines, and Rot Rungruang, the three operating companies, have pledged to strictly adhere to vehicle maintenance and operational standards, and to collaborate with Michelin to optimize fleet management, improve operational efficiency, and enhance service levels. Specific measures include establishing professional driver standards, implementing pre-departure vehicle inspections, selecting high-quality equipment and tires, and expanding transportation routes.

In this collaboration, the parties complement each other's roles and work together: the Tourism Authority of Thailand promotes and certifies tourism standards through the "Trusted Thailand" logo; the Department of Land Transport implements passenger bus supervision and quality certification through the "Q Bus" program; Michelin Thailand provides technological innovation support; and the passenger transport companies expand their route network connecting core cities with second- and third-tier cities, comprehensively improving the travel experience for passengers.

With Songkran approaching, this collaborative project encourages travelers to prioritize certified passenger buses, improving travel safety, alleviating road congestion, mitigating the impact of fuel price fluctuations, further solidifying Thailand's tourism transportation service standards, and strengthening public trust in the local transportation system.
