Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Bangkok, March 25, 2026 – The Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) officially announced the grand opening of the 44th Tourism Thailand Festival (TTF) 2026. This year's festival further solidifies its position as Thailand's flagship domestic tourism promotion platform, aiming to encourage Thais to engage in meaningful local travel and deeply experience the country's cultural and tourism charm.

The opening ceremony was jointly hosted by Ms. Natria Taweewong, Permanent Secretary of the Ministry of Tourism and Sports and Chairperson of the Board of Directors of the Tourism Authority of Thailand, and Ms. Thapani Kiatpaipur, Governor of the Tourism Authority of Thailand. Provincial governors and deputy governors, members of the Tourism Authority of Thailand's Board of Directors and senior management, as well as key partners from the public and private sectors, attended the event.

Ms. Natria stated, “This year’s Thailand Tourism Festival further demonstrates Thailand’s unwavering commitment to becoming a top global tourism destination, while inspiring Thais to explore their homeland with pride. The event showcases Thailand’s rich tourism resources, warm and friendly culture, authentic lifestyle, and immersive cultural experiences, which are also the core content presented by the Tourism Authority of Thailand (TAT) based on its ‘Five Things to Do in Thailand’ strategy.”

Ms. Thapani Kiatpaipur, Governor of the TAT, added, “This annual event aims to inspire Thais to explore their homeland, rediscover their national charm, and thus strengthen their national identity. This year’s event features nine themed exhibition areas, strongly supporting balanced regional development, creating new development opportunities for local communities, and fully showcasing the cultural and tourism diversity and unique resource advantages of various regions of Thailand.”

As the TAT’s flagship domestic tourism platform, this year’s festival is dedicated to transforming the exhibition experience into real travel inspiration, presenting Thai tourist destinations, unique resources, and diverse experiences from a fresh perspective. Nine themed exhibition areas connect a nationwide cultural and tourism journey, integrating cultural heritage, local delicacies, creative design, interactive entertainment, and sustainable development concepts, encouraging visitors to continue exploring the charm of various parts of Thailand after the exhibition concludes.

The five-day Tourism Festival adheres to the Bio-Circular Green Economy (BCG) development model, vigorously promoting eco-friendly tourism, creating diverse value based on local resources, contributing to community sustainable development, and further solidifying Thailand's status as a world-class tourist destination. Meanwhile, the Tourism Festival's "Zero Waste Landfill" program has entered its fourth year, ensuring that no waste generated during the event ends up in landfills, practicing the concept of green exhibition management.
