  To solidly advance bilateral cooperation, Cambodian Secretary of State for Commerce, Lim Le Phisay, recently led a delegation to Zhengzhou, Henan Province, China, for a special exchange activity. During the three-day trip, the delegation participated in several core economic and trade activities. Lim Le Phisay attended the launching ceremony of the China (Zhengzhou)-ASEAN Industrial Development Center and a thematic meeting on agricultural cooperation, delivering a keynote speech to empower and advocate for in-depth cooperation between Cambodia and China in the industrial and agricultural sectors.

  In his speech, Lim Le Phisay stated that in the face of the new situation of global supply chain restructuring and profound changes in the trade landscape, deepening ASEAN-China economic and trade cooperation and building consensus on coordinated development are of significant strategic importance to the development of countries in the region. He proposed that all parties in the region should adhere to the cooperation principles of openness, inclusiveness, mutual benefit, and win-win results, fully unleash the policy dividends of the China-ASEAN Free Trade Agreement (ACFTA), continuously optimize the market access environment, break down trade barriers, build a broader cooperation platform for enterprises in both regions, create more development opportunities, and inject continuous new momentum into the steady and sustainable growth of the regional economy.

  At the event, Lin Lepisay highlighted Cambodia's excellent investment environment and industrial development potential. He pointed out that Cambodia possesses unique geographical and strategic advantages, a continuously improving logistics and transportation system, and is deeply integrated into the regional industrial and supply chain system, possessing vast potential for cross-border trade and two-way investment. During the event, participants conducted in-depth discussions on building a more resilient, inclusive, and sustainable regional economic partnership, focusing on key areas such as deepening Cambodia-China agricultural cooperation, improving bilateral trade facilitation, and removing obstacles to cooperation, thus reaching a consensus.

  In addition to specialized meetings and exchanges, the Cambodian delegation, led by Lin Lepisay, held bilateral talks with officials from relevant Chinese departments and representatives of the China-ASEAN Center. Focusing on key areas such as Cambodia-China economic and trade exchanges, two-way investment, and industrial synergy, they discussed and refined cooperation measures, reaching several practical cooperation consensuses. Simultaneously, the delegation visited several high-quality Chinese enterprises, proactively connecting with market resources, actively expanding new business cooperation channels, and building bridges for long-term cooperation.
