
Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) Recently, police in Svay Rieng Province, Cambodia, in conjunction with other law enforcement agencies, successfully cracked a major drug manufacturing and trafficking case, arresting five foreign suspects and seizing over 44 kilograms of various drugs and a batch of weapons and ammunition at the scene, effectively deterring drug crimes along the border.

According to a media briefing on March 25 by Svay Rieng Provincial Police Deputy Chief Kao Sootha, the anti-drug operation was jointly conducted by the province's anti-narcotics office and Bavet City police. After meticulous investigation and identification of criminal leads, law enforcement officers decisively launched a raid on March 18, successfully arresting five male suspects involved in the case.
Police disclosed that the five suspects are between 25 and 28 years old, with four being Vietnamese and one Chinese national. During the raid, the law enforcement team seized over 44 kilograms of various drugs, four handguns, and 200 rounds of ammunition. All related items have been confiscated according to law, becoming key evidence in establishing the crime.

Currently, the Svay Rieng Provincial Police have completed the interrogation of the suspects and the securing of relevant evidence. The case has been transferred to the provincial primary court for trial in accordance with Cambodian legal procedures, and the five suspects will be severely punished according to law.
This drug bust demonstrates the Svay Rieng Provincial Police's firm determination to severely crack down on drug crimes and resolutely maintain social security and stability in the border area.
