Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – To adapt to the global trend of digital development and continuously optimize the international traveler clearance experience, the Cambodian government announced that it will further expand and deepen the pilot implementation of the v-Pass electronic travel permit system. This system will gradually replace traditional paper entry stamps and QR code stickers, realizing the full digitalization of entry and exit procedures for foreign travelers.

According to a recent announcement from the Cambodian Ministry of Tourism, the v-Pass system pilot program is led by the General Department of Immigration under the Ministry of Interior. As an important measure for Cambodia to improve port clearance efficiency and align with international digital technologies, the implementation of this system will not only simplify entry and exit procedures for travelers but also promote the intelligent upgrading of Cambodia's port management system.

Currently, the v-Pass system pilot program has achieved full coverage of major entry and exit points throughout Cambodia, encompassing the three major air ports of Phnom Penh International Airport, Siem Reap Angkor International Airport, and Sihanoukville International Airport, as well as various international seaports within the country, realizing comprehensive implementation of air and sea entry and exit channels.

To ensure a smooth transition for both domestic and international travelers to the new system, the Cambodian General Department of Immigration has launched multiple online application channels. Travelers can complete their applications online through the official Cambodian e-Arrival website (https://arrival.gov.kh) or by downloading and installing the official "Cambodia e-Arrival" application. After the application process is complete, the v-Pass e-pass will be automatically sent to the traveler's registered email address.

The expanded pilot implementation of the v-Pass e-pass system marks a significant milestone in Cambodia's efforts to build a "smart border." The system's implementation will effectively reduce traveler waiting times at customs, improve the accuracy and efficiency of immigration management, and help Cambodia further attract international tourists and overseas investors, continuously driving the strong recovery of the country's tourism industry and high-quality economic development in the post-pandemic era.
