Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – The Cambodian government has recently intensified its crackdown on cross-border online fraud and other illegal activities. According to the latest report from the Cambodian Immigration Department, on the evening of the 7th of this month, a special task force conducted a repatriation operation at Dr. Chong International Airport, formally deporting 110 Chinese nationals suspected of illegal online fraud and handing them over to Chinese authorities.
The report indicates that the 110 Chinese nationals repatriated were all suspected of engaging in illegal online fraud activities within Cambodia. Following multiple rounds of rigorous investigation and precise prosecution by Cambodian police, the entire criminal gang has been successfully apprehended. After completing all legal procedures, including interrogation and evidence collection, the task force escorted the suspects to Dr. Chong International Airport on the evening of the 7th, successfully completing the repatriation handover.

This repatriation operation is a crucial part of the Cambodian government's series of measures to combat cross-border crime. Cambodian Interior Ministry spokesman Du Sokhonn emphasized in an interview that Cambodia is currently upgrading its special campaign against cross-border crimes such as telecom fraud and illegal online gambling, resolutely curbing the spread of these crimes within the country.
Du Sokhonn clearly stated that the Cambodian government has made a formal commitment to further integrate law enforcement resources, strengthen inter-departmental cooperation, thoroughly investigate the criminal chains and related upstream and downstream black and gray industries, and strive to completely eradicate related illegal industries within the country by April 2024, fully restoring a clean and orderly social environment and a safe and stable investment environment.

It is reported that the Cambodian Immigration Department has recently been actively working to deport thousands of foreign nationals suspected of various illegal and criminal activities. Cambodia reiterated that the government maintains a "zero-tolerance" attitude towards any individual or group using Cambodian territory to engage in illegal and criminal activities, and will resolutely pursue their legal responsibility according to law.
