Cambodia launches comprehensive census of education and health system officials in Phnom Penh.

  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the afternoon of December 16th, the Cambodian Ministry of Public Service's "Committee on the Renewal and Registration of Officials' Structure" officially launched an on-site survey of public officials in Phnom Penh's public education institutions and local health units. The operation plans to complete all data collection and verification within one week.

  Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Education, Youth and Sports, Hun Chuon Naron, warmly welcomed the Ministry of Public Service's working group. He pointed out that this survey is a key cornerstone for deepening reforms in the education sector, and has profound significance for optimizing teacher allocation, improving administrative accountability, and enhancing the overall efficiency of the education system.

  Minister of Public Service and Chairman of the Committee on the Renewal and Registration of Officials' Structure, Hun Many, emphasized that this survey is a core initiative in response to the Royal Government's vision of "Public Administration Reform." He highly praised the close collaboration between the technical working group and the education and health departments, and reiterated the necessity of on-site verification in ensuring administrative transparency.

  Health Minister Chin Lavrov also issued clear instructions to all health officials and medical personnel in Phnom Penh, requiring all units to actively cooperate with the census team to ensure the authenticity, accuracy, and timeliness of all data.

  This on-site census aims to obtain clear, accurate, and consistent comprehensive background data on public officials through scientific methods; to provide a reliable basis for future personnel management, talent recruitment, and career development planning; to establish a unified national database to comprehensively improve the management efficiency of salary disbursement, promotion, and welfare benefits; to optimize the organizational human resource structure; to ensure the efficient use of the national budget; and ultimately to improve national governance efficiency.

  Currently, the census work in Phnom Penh has been fully launched. The working group is focusing on verifying the actual on-the-job status of education and health institutions at all levels, and strictly investigating fictitious positions. This move marks a solid step forward for Cambodia in promoting the systematization and standardization of human resource management.
