Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) In the early hours of November 25, 2025, a Chinese man in Sihanoukville was arrested by local police for evading a routine check and ramming into police officers.

The incident occurred in Sangkat 3, Sihanoukville. Sihanoukville Provincial Police Deputy Commissioner Deng Ligao briefed the media on the details of the case. He stated that officers conducting a routine check found the car driven by the Chinese man suspicious and signaled him to stop for inspection. However, the man not only refused to cooperate but also suddenly accelerated and fled, ramming into a police officer during his escape—an extremely egregious act.

Faced with the dangerous situation, the Provincial Police's Serious Crimes Division immediately launched a pursuit. To effectively stop the suspect's dangerous behavior and ensure public safety, police took decisive action during the pursuit, firing shots at the tires of the suspect's car, successfully forcing it to stop. Ultimately, police successfully subdued and arrested the Chinese man at the scene.

The arrested man has been taken to the police station for further interrogation and investigation, and the case will be handled in accordance with the law. Sihanoukville police stated that they will continue to intensify law enforcement efforts to maintain public order and will adopt a zero-tolerance attitude towards any behavior that resists law enforcement or endangers police officers or public safety.
