东南亚信息港讯（www.dnyxxg.com）柬埔寨总理洪玛奈亲王16日签署政令，宣布将每年4月8日定为“国际佛教日”。

根据政令，此节日旨在弘扬国教佛教，增强佛教国家之间的国际关系，推动柬埔寨及全球社会走向和平。设立国际佛教日也是为了庆祝柬埔寨西哈莫尼国王获得佛教领域最高荣誉称号。

政令鼓励所有部委、地方政府、民间社会组织、国内外非政府组织，以及公私领域积极支持这一节日，以促进对佛教的理解与修行。宗教事务部将与柬埔寨相关单位和利益相关者合作，根据实际情况举办一系列庆祝活动。
