Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A bizarre incident recently occurred in Por Sen Chey district, Phnom Penh, Cambodia. Four men impersonating police officers illegally stopped vehicles on the street, mistakenly stopping the deputy chief of the Por Sen Chey police station who was patrolling the area. All suspects have been apprehended, and the case is under further investigation.

The incident reportedly occurred around 11 PM on the 21st of this month at the traffic light intersection of Russian Boulevard and Street 2004 in Koh Khoi 1 district, Por Sen Chey. At the time, the deputy chief of the Por Sen Chey police station, dressed in plainclothes, was conducting a routine patrol on a motorcycle.

Upon reaching the intersection, four men on three motorcycles suddenly appeared and forcibly stopped him. Although dressed in plainclothes, the four men all wore forged Criminal Investigation Department (CID) identification badges and demanded the deputy chief cooperate with the inspection under the guise of law enforcement.

Faced with the interception, the deputy director immediately identified himself and his position, attempting to clear up the misunderstanding. However, the group of suspects impersonating police officers remained oblivious to the misunderstanding, instead becoming arrogant and shouting at and verbally threatening the deputy director who was holding up his identification, insisting that he was performing official duties.

Just as the suspects were shouting and arguing, backup patrol officers from the jurisdiction arrived at the scene. After verifying that the four men's identities were fake, the police took decisive action and apprehended the four suspects impersonating public officials on the spot.

Currently, the four suspects have been taken to the Por Sen Chey District Police Station for further interrogation. Police seized the forged documents and motorcycle used in the crime at the scene. The case is under further investigation and will be transferred to the court for prosecution in accordance with the law.
