In addition, due to rainfall, the following sections of expressways are closed to vehicles with seven or more seats and vehicles transporting hazardous materials: Erguang Expressway (from Jili Mengzhou Station to Liudian Station); Lianhuo Expressway (from Xin'an Station to Xin'an West Station); Ningluo Expressway (from Ruyang Dukang Station to Luoyang Jianxi Station); Yanluo Expressway (from Lüdian Daguguan Station); Luanlu Expressway (from Jiguandong Station to Tianhe Grand Canyon Station); Zhengluan Expressway (from Muzhaling Station to Longyuwan Station); Luoluan Expressway (entire line); and Xinyi Expressway (entire line).
Furthermore, due to rain and snow, all passenger vehicles with nine or more seats and vehicles transporting hazardous materials are prohibited from entering the stations throughout Henan Province. According to previous reports from the Henan Provincial Meteorological Department, Henan Province will experience widespread rain, snow, and temperature drops from January 18th to 20th, with the main snowfall period expected on the 19th. Heavy snow is expected along the Yellow River and southwards, with blizzards in some counties and cities in the south and central-western regions, and light to moderate snow in other areas.
The Zhengzhou Meteorological Observatory issued a blue blizzard warning signal at 8:30 AM on January 19th: Snowfall is expected to continue in the main urban area of Zhengzhou, the Airport Economic Zone, and the towns and streets under the jurisdiction of Shangjie District, with snowfall exceeding 4 millimeters within the next 12 hours.
