  Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – A reporter from CCTV learned on the 20th that the giant pandas "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei," residing at Ueno Zoo in Tokyo, Japan, will leave the zoo on January 27, 2026, and be returned to China by air. The final visitor date for "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei" is January 25, 2026.

  "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei" were born at Ueno Zoo in 2021 and are the offspring of "Bili" and "Xiannu," the giant pandas who returned to China in September 2024. Their older sister, "Xiang Xiang," returned to China in February 2023.

  According to a previous agreement between China and Japan, the return date for "Xiao Xiao" and "Lei Lei" was February 2026. According to Japanese sources, the Tokyo Metropolitan Government and the Chinese side have negotiated the specific date and decided to move the return date forward by approximately one month.
