The Chinese Navy's 989 task force concluded its friendly visit to Indonesia and departed for home.

  Southeast Asia Information Port News (www.dnyxxg.com) – On the morning of the 11th local time, the Chinese Navy's 989 flotilla, currently on a comprehensive long-range maritime training mission, concluded its four-day friendly visit to Indonesia and departed from Tanjung Priok Port in Jakarta to return home.

  At approximately 8:00 AM local time, the Indonesian side held a farewell ceremony at Tanjung Priok Port. Staff from the Chinese Embassy in Indonesia, representatives of local Chinese-funded enterprises and overseas Chinese communities, and representatives of Indonesian naval officers and soldiers came to the dock to see them off. Students from the Naval University of Engineering and the Naval Aviation University lined up on the decks to wave goodbye to the departing contingent.

  During the visit, the flotilla organized a sports exchange activity between student representatives and Indonesian Marine Corps personnel. Through mutual exchange and learning, the naval officers and soldiers of both countries further enhanced their friendship and mutual trust. Simultaneously, the flotilla organized several ship open days, allowing representatives of local Chinese-funded enterprises, international students, and overseas Chinese communities to visit the ships. Some students also visited the Confucius Institute at Al-Azhar University in Indonesia, interacting with the faculty and students.

  It is understood that Indonesia is the last stop on this comprehensive maritime training mission's visit to three Southeast Asian countries. After leaving Indonesia, the Chinese Navy's 989 flotilla will embark on its return voyage. (End)
