Southeast Asia Information Port (www.dnyxxg.com) – Li Hongzhong, member of the Political Bureau of the CPC Central Committee and Vice Chairman of the Standing Committee of the National People's Congress, met with a joint delegation of politicians from Pacific Island countries, led by Felix, Speaker of the Vanuatu Parliament and member of parliament from the Leader Party, in Beijing on the 21st.
Li Hongzhong stated that under the strategic guidance of President Xi Jinping and leaders of Pacific Island countries, bilateral relations have maintained a good momentum of development. China is willing to strengthen exchanges between political parties and legislative bodies of island countries and work together to build a closer community of shared future between China and Pacific Island countries. Li Hongzhong also briefed the delegation on the spirit of the Fourth Plenary Session of the 20th CPC Central Committee.
Felix stated that island countries firmly adhere to the one-China principle and are willing to deepen cooperation with China in various fields.
